Neall Ryon has been a poet-in-waiting for many years as he ventured through a series of careers related to business research. In a career devoted to observing and understanding human behavior he was fortunate to travel to many countries throughout the world; as he describes it; “traveled from South Island, New Zealand to Reykjavik in Iceland, and a thousand places in between.” While observing differences in language, culture, food and customs he discovered we all share one thing in common; our humanity. In his first book of short stories and poetry, “From the other side,” Neall Ryon offers both an uncommon view of mundane reality and a revealing view of the sublime. The book offers three short stories as seen from the perspective of a soul and in between these unique stories he shares 50 poems plus haiku or aphorisms, all of which touch on the spiritual ups and downs of living an experience common to all … life.

Reviews
From Alan Hill- Poet Laureate, City of New Westminster.
Neall Ryon has a wonderful ability to take the most complex spiritual issues and wrestle them down with precise and skilled use of language and imagery. This comes from a fruitful lifetime spent chasing the written word and thinking on the issues of our times. His ability shows through fully in these well-crafted, thoughtful, inspiring and beautifully written poems. I wish Neall success with this new collection and can only hope his readers enjoy this work as much as I did" Alan Hill, Poet Laureate, City of New Westminster.
